Who are we looking for?
Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboard a highly skilled “Electrical Engineer” with good understanding of electrical engineering concepts. The candidate will be part of a team assisting in the delivery of efficient engineering support and solutions to customers while also contributing to the development of Indian semiconductor ecosystem.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Participation in design reviews and work with cross-functional teams for ECN and ECO activities. Manage obsolescence engineering activities to qualify compatible replacements. Creating specifications sheets and engineering documentation.
- Ensure deliverable quality for electromechanical assemblies/modules/sub-modules used on semiconductor equipment. Review designs and provide recommendations with respect to manufacturability and serviceability.
- Develop engineering solutions for electrical systems. This involves selecting the appropriate components, engineering assessments, use CAD tools for creating schematics and laying out the system interconnect, and performing testing and analysis to ensure the circuit is functioning properly.
- Responsible for testing and validating the design. This involves verifying that the electric circuit is working as intended, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and performing additional testing as needed.
- Able to perform circuit simulation and analysing Signal/Power integrity.
- Design and develop engineering solutions, including optimizing designs for manufacturability and costefficiency. System integration considering software and hardware aspects.
- Perform FMEA and provide mitigation strategies to eliminate risks.
- Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by management.
Eligibility Criteria
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor of Engineering/Technology degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation.
- A master’s degree will be preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the Electrical/Electronics industry.
Mandatory Skills:
- Good understanding of electrical engineering concepts such as circuits, signals, and systems to derive efficient and reliable solutions for electrical systems (Control systems + Power systems).
- Must have knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution, Power network, load calculation, Electrical circuit and interconnect design using CAD tools.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other engineers and stakeholders to understand their requirements and to convey the design progress and potential issues.
- Good command over Microsoft tools- Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
- Able to manage their time effectively to meet project deadlines and deliver projects on time.
- Must be comfortable working with US-based timings.
Good to have:
- Familiarization with industry standards. Ensure all electrical designs and practices comply with relevant standards, such as IEEE, IEC, and SEMI standards.
- Knowledge of Cable assembly/harness designing and selecting protection devices according to the power and load requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with the electrical systems work with other engineers to resolve any issues that arise during the design and testing phase.
- Must have meticulous attention to detail to ensure that the electrical design meets the specifications and standards required by the client or industry.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and an agile environment.
- Prior experience in semiconductor or electronics industry.
