Who are we looking for?
Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboard a highly skilled “Embedded Software Engineer” with experience in designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging system software. The candidate will be part of a team assisting in the delivery of efficient engineering support and solutions to customers while also contributing to the development of Indian semiconductor ecosystem.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Working with cross functional team for ECN and ECO activities.
- Design and developing Software/firmware; include optimizing designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency
- System integration considering software and hardware aspects.
- Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation/computer science with minimum experience of 2-5 years.
- A master’s degree will be preferred.
- Must be comfortable working with US-based timings.
Mandatory Skills:
- Experience in designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging system software.
- Must have experience in firmware development for interfacing of peripherals e.g. SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN, LIN, Ethernet
- Should have experience in working on RTOS and adequate knowledge of system architecture and I/O interface
- Adequate knowledge of programming Microcontrollers, EEPROM, Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
- Proven experience in embedded systems design with pre-emptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
- Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
Good to have:
- Solid programming experience in embedded C or C++
- Knowledge of programming FPGA and CPLD
- Experience in GUI development
- Good to have knowledge of VHDL or Verilog
