Who are we looking for?
Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboarding a “Mechanical Engineer” with expertise in creating/updating, part/assembly drawings along with CAD models.
The candidate will be part of a team assisting in the delivery of efficient engineering support and solutions to customers while also contributing to the development of the Indian semiconductor ecosystem.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Working in a multi-disciplinary team comprising of electrical and mechanical engineers.
- Work on Mechanical design projects(including Additive manufacturing part design projects)
- Work on creating/updating components specification sheets, part/assembly drawings and CAD models.
- Prepare presentation and present in design reviews for approvals.
- Perform FMEA and provide mitigation strategies to eliminate risks.
- Identify and implement best practices to continuously improve efficiency in Engineering/PLM/CAD processes.
- Monitor and track the progress of different projects; publish weekly reports to stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with experience of 2-5 years.
- Master’s degree will be preferred.
- Must be comfortable working with US-based timings.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficient in Creo.
- Good knowledge of sheet metals, Machined and plastic parts.
- Good understanding of various manufacturing processes.
- Has good communication skills (written & verbal).
- Excellent command over Microsoft tools- Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Able to work with limited supervision and an agile environment.
Good to have:
- Experience with Additive Manufacturing
- Basic understanding of GD&T & Tolerance stack up.
- Work on obsolescence activities and electromechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of FEA using Ansys, or similar SW is a benefit.
- Understanding of FMEA.
- Concept design skills – Should understand concepts while working on new designs and know how to do concepts in new designs.
- Hands-on experience in NX.
